Campfire web works in all modern browsers. If you're seeing layout issues, missing features, or error messages, an outdated browser is often the cause. Here's what's supported and how to fix common issues.
Supported browsers
- Google Chrome — recommended, fully supported
- Apple Safari — fully supported on Mac and iOS
- Mozilla Firefox — fully supported
- Microsoft Edge — fully supported
- Mobile browsers — Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android are both fully supported
Internet Explorer is not supported
Campfire does not support Internet Explorer. If you're using IE, please switch to any of the browsers listed above. Microsoft Edge (which replaced IE) works great.
If something looks broken
- Hard-refresh the page — press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to reload the page without the cache.
- Clear your cache — go to your browser's settings and clear cached images and files, then reload Campfire.
- Update your browser — check for a newer version in your browser's Help or About menu. Most browsers update automatically, but it's worth confirming.
- Try a different browser — if one browser has issues, try another from the supported list above to see if it's browser-specific.
